Then this is for you:

An intensive total immersion week of training in the What, How, Why and Where of living in France. Presented by professionals in their respective fields, this residential course for expatriates takes place in a small chateau in one of the most beautiful parts of France. We have done it ourselves and appreciate the difficulties and challenges that face you during this transition period. No matter where in France you are relocating to, we can help you make France your new 'home from home', set your mind at ease and prepare you and your family for the big move.

To ensure that you are 100% equipped to have the smoothest possible transition from your old home to your new, and enjoy all possible benefits the transition may bring, the three key areas covered by the course, are:

1 Cross-cultural awareness

Personal accounts, advice and tips on: How do the French think? What is important to them? What do I need to know to be accepted as a colleague and a friend -- to be respected and liked? The course ends with a reception where you will meet a valuable network of fellow expats as well as a cross-section of French people.

2 Cutting the red tape

Expert seminars on dealing with everyday bureaucracy and officialdom and French law. No matter in which part of France you will be settling, you will leave armed with introductions to contacts and a ready-made support system for before and after your arrival.

3 Essential basic language and lifestyle tuition

Vivre et savoir faire: Whether you are a novice, a beginner or a fluent speaker of French, the basic language tuition will be perfectly adapted to your own level and provided by Albert Croce of the Aquitaine Langues language school in Bergerac. This section also introduces you to French literature, cinema, theatre and music.

Our promise to you is to make your transition an easy and relaxed adventure, rather than a stressful and demanding experience. Our course is highly intensive, in order that you do not have to take more than one week out of your already busy schedule. However, it is also highly comprehensive, in order that you can 'hit the ground running' in your new country, be productive from the very first day and not waste time getting angry, frustrated and despondent because you do not know 'how, where, or when'.

We cater for all ages and all reasons for relocation. Whether you are moving for personal reasons, for family commitments, for retirement, making a career or employment move -- or whether you are an individual, a couple or a family -- our course is designed to cover every possibility. We do suggest that couples attend together in order to discover right from the word go what an exciting adventure they are embarking on! We work in small groups to make sure that there is enough time to give individual attention to specific problems and questions. Experts in each subject will provide the lectures and the information you will need, as well as make themselves available for personal consultation.
